Entry status

Not a port of entry; clear at Fremantle (or Darwin from the north) first. Base Marine at Exmouth offers a 320 t boat lift for vessels to 50 m.

Ningaloo

State park entry is free, with sanctuary zones; the Commonwealth park alongside is mostly a Recreational Use Zone. Whale shark season runs March to August and humpbacks June to November, with strict interaction rules (one vessel at a time in the contact zone, at least 30 m off, 6 knots maximum). Public moorings up to 25 m. Shark Bay, to the south: no anchoring on the stromatolites at Hamelin Pool; keep 100 m from dolphins and whales.

We plan the west coast run from Fremantle to the Kimberley, including Ningaloo. ASY handles clearance and berthing here. Talk to us or email us.
