Fuel, spares and Tradex

Large superyacht alongside in Sydney with a crane at the wharf

Bunkering, ship’s spares and parts shipped in transit to the yacht, cleared with the right duty and GST treatment.

Who it is for

Yachts that need fuel, urgent parts or stores delivered in Australia, without paying duty and GST that does not apply.

What we do

  • Arrange bunkering by truck or barge at your berth
  • Import ship’s spares in transit to the yacht under our Tradex order, with our customs broker and freight forwarder
  • Coordinate couriers and air freight so parts meet the yacht where she will be
  • Source local suppliers and technicians

What we need from you

  • Fuel type and quantity, and where the yacht will be
  • Supplier invoices and shipping details for parts
  • Who on board receives the goods

How we charge

Our agency fee is agreed with you before we start. Third-party costs (berths, fuel, pilots, fees and suppliers) are passed through at cost with the supplier invoices attached, and everything comes to you on one account. See how we charge.

Questions

What is Tradex?

Tradex is an Australian Border Force scheme that allows eligible goods to be imported without duty and GST when they will be exported again. We hold our own Tradex order and use it for ship’s spares in transit to visiting yachts. Eligibility depends on the goods and the yacht; we confirm it before anything ships.
