Arrival and clearance

Clearing a foreign superyacht into Australia: border, biosecurity and port formalities handled in the right order, before you arrive.
Who it is for
Captains and management companies bringing a foreign-flagged yacht into Australia, whether from the South Pacific, Asia or a delivery voyage.
What we do
- Plan the arrival with you: first port of entry, timing and the notices Australian Border Force and biosecurity need before you sail
- Lodge and track the pre-arrival paperwork and keep the officers informed of changes to your ETA
- Coordinate the boarding for customs, immigration and biosecurity on arrival
- Arrange the berth or anchorage for clearance and the move to your berth afterwards
- Advise on the conditions of your stay, and on departure formalities when you leave
What we need from you
- Yacht particulars, registry and tonnage
- Crew and guest list with passport details
- Last ports of call and planned itinerary in Australia
- ETA, and any changes as soon as you know them
How we charge
Our agency fee is agreed with you before we start. Third-party costs (berths, fuel, pilots, fees and suppliers) are passed through at cost with the supplier invoices attached, and everything comes to you on one account. See how we charge.
Questions
How far ahead should we contact you?
As early as you can. The government notices have minimum lead times, and in peak season the right berth is usually the harder thing to secure.
Can we clear in at any port?
No. A foreign yacht must first arrive at a port where clearance is available. We will tell you which ports suit your route and confirm the arrangements with the authorities for your date.
